Oggetto: screening emergenza Covid-19
La scrivente O.S. esprimere apprezzamento per la forte cooperazione internazionale tra gli organismi deputati alla tutela della salute pubblica per l’emergenza Covid-19, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il sostegno a tutta la “macchina” dell’emergenza sanitaria, ed in particolare al personale tutto che opera presso i presidi ospedalieri, fortemente esposto al rischio contagio (il Lazio purtroppo ha il record di personale medico contagiato).
In questi giorni, anche considerando il dato sul contagio negli ospedali, si è deciso di procedere ad uno screening eseguendo il test Covid-19 a tutto il personale sanitario per rilevare eventuali ulteriori possibili contagi.
Come FIOM CGIL riteniamo giusto procedere con uno screening di massa negli ospedali (sarebbe utile farlo a tutta la popolazione), ma giudichiamo assurdo che non lo si faccia a tutti coloro che lavorano negli ospedali ma che dipendono da altre aziende, cioè gli appalti.
Questi lavoratori entrano continuamente in contatto con medici, infermieri, entrano nei reparti e operano su macchinari e apparati complessi fondamentali per la cura delle persone, intervengono su sistemi dove il virus si annida più facilmente, tant’è che quelle da loro svolte sono considerate attività essenziali.
Proteggere tutto il personale significa proteggere tutti i cittadini, dentro e fuori dall’ospedale, significa arginare il contagio e ridurre il rischio di morire per Covid-19.
Non rilevare eventuali positività in aree a rischio come quelle degli ospedali, dove prestano la loro opera anche tutti i lavoratori degli appalti, significa mettere a rischio la salute degli stessi lavoratori e quella di tutte le persone con cui vengono a contatto.
Per questi motivi vi chiediamo una valutazione e un intervento urgente, al fine di mettere in sicurezza tutto il personale e operare il più velocemente possibile per il contenimento della pandemia, a partire dai lavoratori più esposti.

Covid-19 emergency screening
This trade union express appreciation for the strong international cooperation between the bodies responsible for the protection of public health for the Covid-19 emergency, especially as regards to the support to the whole organisation running around health emergency, and in particular to the all the staff working at hospital facilities, heavily exposed to the risk of infection (Lazio unfortunately has a record of infected medical staff).
In these days, even considering the figures on the infection in hospitals, it was decided to proceed with a screening by performing the Covid-19 test to all health staff to detect any further possible infections.
As FIOM CGIL we believe it is right to proceed with a mass screening in hospitals (it would be useful to do this to the whole population), but we think it absurd that this is not done to all those who work in hospitals but who depend on other companies, i.e. contracts and subcontracts.
These workers continually come into contact with doctors, nurses, enter wards and operate on machinery and complex equipments essential for the care of people, intervene on systems where the virus lurks more easily, so much that those activities, carried out by them, are considered essential.
Protecting all staff means protect all citizens, inside and outside the hospital, means curbing infection and reducing the risk of dying from Covid-19.
Not detecting any positivity in areas at risk such as those in hospitals, where all contract workers also work, means putting the health of the workers themselves and that of all the people they come into contact with at risk.
For these reasons we ask you for an evaluation and an urgent intervention, in order to make all staff safe and operate as quickly as possible to contain the pandemic, starting from the most exposed workers.
